Foam and Sponge

Industrial Foam
and Sponge Solutions

Tape Innovations sources and converts a large variety of closed-cell and open-cell foam and sponge materials to meet a wide range of application requirements. Stocking many of these materials in significant volumes allows us to shorten lead times and provide samples and prototypes rapidly, often beating our competitors.

With our die-less knife cutting technology, we can not only cut these materials into custom shapes with great precision, but we can also mill them to create different thickness profiles within the same part. Explore our range of foam and sponge materials to find the optimal solution for your next manufacturing project.

Common Foam and Sponge materials

EPDM, SBR, Neoprene Blends

These materials are extremely versatile and provide good resistance to water, steam, ozone, alkalis, acids, flame and oxygenated solvents, depending on the specific formulation. That versatility is why these products are for all kinds of applications, including outdoor applications where durability and resistance to environmental conditions are required.

Acoustic Insulation Foam

Acoustic insulation foam is specifically designed to remedy noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) issues, or buzz, squeak and rattle (BSR) challenges. These materials dampen unwanted sound and vibration, are available in a range of compression sets and can be die-cut to custom shapes based on your requirements.

Rogers BISCO® Silicone Foam

This versatile family of silicone foam products can withstand a wide range of temperatures, offers UV and ozone resistance, and is rated to meet even the strictest flame standards. BISCO® silicone foam maintains the lightness of a foam material while exhibiting the enhanced sealing capabilities of a traditional sponge rubber product.

Silicone Sponge: BISCO®, Norseal®, Diversified Products

These products come in a range of firmness grades (soft, medium and firm) and provide impressive flame and temperature resistance. Silicone sponge materials are also considered UV and ozone resistant, while also providing excellent gasketing with low closure force.

Rogers PORON® Urethanes

These materials provide durable, long-term performance in industrial applications and are commonly used for gasketing, sealing, cushioning or vibration management. Rogers PORON® urethanes offer excellent compression set resistance, chemical resistance and are easy to convert because they are suitable for use with a broad range of adhesive materials.

Rogers PORON® AquaPro™

Rogers PORON® AquaPro™ is designed specifically to provide enhanced water protection and are available in a variety of thicknesses. The material is thermally stable, flame retardant, environmentally safe and offers excellent durability for long-term performance.

Foam and sponge applications

Industrial foam and sponge solutions are used in just about every industry out there to meet a wide range of application requirements. These versatile materials are used for applications such as:
  • Gap filling
  • Cushioning
  • Gasketing
  • Ingress protection
  • Noise damping
  • Vibration damping
  • Impact protection
