EMI/RFI shielding

To ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), many device designs completely encase the electronics in a conductive enclosure. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) gaskets provide good electrical conductivity across the gasket/flange interface at the seam of the enclosure.

The purpose of these shielding materials is to prevent EMI and RFI from affecting sensitive electronics. Electromagnetic interference can cause minor disruptions or major malfunctions to electronic devices. The shielding may prevent the intrusion of interference on a certain device or contain interference produced by the device. Concurrent pressure sealing is also available.`

EMI and RFI shielding materials provide grounding and contacting for otherwise imperfectly grounded structures, and can absorb heat. Generally, the better the conformability and conductivity of the material, the higher the shielding effectiveness of the gaskets.

RF noise can affect sensitive and precise measurements due to growing ambient electromagnetic pollution. Our shielded systems provide excellent shielding attenuation, allowing high-sensitivity testing without distortion in controlled electromagnetic environments. According to Tempest standards, RF shielded solutions also protect meeting rooms and computer data centers.
